Lots Of Happy Card Kit Alternative Thank You Card

Hey everyone! I just got back from a pretty amazing event called Onstage! This is a special event that only Stampin’ Up! demonstrators may attend. We get to be the first to see the brand Annual Catalog, check out the amazing new products, order new products early, and stamp and create with fellow demonstrator friends! It’s such a fun event and I had the pleasure of being one of the presenters!!! I can’t share too many details yet, but coming up this month I, along with a few other display stampers, will be bringing you a few sneak peaks of our projects that we created with the new products for the event. You’re not going to want to miss it! Well, onto my card for today!

I wanted to feature the Lots Of Happy Card Kit today, but with my own little twist. I’ll show you my alternate card first.

The kit is sooooo gorgeous!!! I love all of the black and white with pops of green and purple-y pinks. I’ve included a few pictures of the kit itself below. You’ll definitely want to pick one of these kits up. They are all inclusive, which means they have all the materials you need to make each of the cards in the kit, including the stamps and clear stamp block. This kit also includes 4 full size watercolor pencils with two exclusive colors: Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist.

For my alternate card, I wanted to use a few of the elements from the kit, but change the color scheme to include purple colors instead of pinks. I took the floral pre-cut image from the set and colored in the plumes with my Flirty Flamingo Watercolor Pencil. Then I used my Tempting Turquoise Ink Pad and Aqua Painter to add some blues in with my pinks. When the two colors mixed, I got a beautiful lavender color which is perfect for this floral image of a lavender bunch.

While that dried, I assembled the rest of my card. I took one of the pre-cut tags that look just like the Tailored Tag Punch and just flipped it over so I didn’t use the side with the gold border (it just didn’t fit with my card). I used some of the Lemon Lime Twist Ombré Ribbon behind the tag and die cut a few sprigs that I had watercolored on Watercolor Paper using Lemon Lime Twist Ink. I used layered on my lavender and added a few green sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment and that finished off my card for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next post!
